Crescent Hill Academy. CHA. It wasn't the best boarding school in New York City, and it didn't have the best students - they'd come from all over, from all sorts of different backgrounds, all sorts of different cliques. Skaters, rebels, scenes, cheerleaders, populars, jocks, they all came from their homes to attend a school. While some thought it was hell on Earth, others their own personal little heaven, and some who didn’t really care, they managed to live there among each other, in relative calm. Or as calm as you can get in a boarding school in NYC as diverse as this one.
That was until Todd Manning came along.
Todd Manning just so happened to be one of V's old classmates from her own days in school, and whom had always held an obsession of the ex-headmistress. So, what exactly did he do that was so dramatic here? Why, simple - he kidnapped Headmistress Valerie “V” Vasquez and held her for ransom, threatening to bomb the school. Everyone believed him - this was, after all New York City - mostly because they had seen him do it before, though on a smaller scale. Luckily, the cops apprehended him in time, but not before he had killed one of the teachers who had tried to stop him manually. The school’s history in shame, it was closed down, and the students sent back to wherever they had to live.
A year later, Lisa Mitalka walked into the legislative building in Albany, with a request that Crescent Hill Academy be re-opened, for students to continue learning. She said that the threat of Todd Manning was gone, as he was now in a Juvenile prison, secluded from the rest of the world. V was gone too, leaving the school never to return. She argued that if there was going to be a student who wanted to come back, then she would teach them, no matter what. And the senators of the state of New York agreed with her, on one condition - she be Headmistress with another woman.
Mary Andrews came into play here. The two got together and got the school re-opened, sending out letters to previous students and staff. The two clashed though on other such things - Lisa and Mary were as different as can be, Lisa being nice and kind, Mary being more hard ass on everyone else. But, the school still re-opened. And some students and staff answered the letters, pledging to return to the school. But most stayed behind, afraid that there would be another evil student like Todd Manning in the mix. And so, the two Headmistresses were forced to bring in new students as quickly as possible, if they wanted their school to stay open, though they continued to clash.
And now Crescent Hill Academy’s back on its feet - for the most part - and the students are back. But, will the clashing between the Jocks and Skaters, the Populars and the Goths, and the other groups continue, as it undoubtedly will? Can Lisa and Mary resolve their issues with each other to keep the school open? And are the rumors that Todd Manning has actually escaped his prison true?
It’s your secret to keep, or to tell. It’s your choice.
Crescent Hill Academy.
