It was Darren's first day at his new school, he was wearing a brown t-shirt with regular dark blue jeans. Nothing extraordinary for his first day. He was completely lost, he held a schedule in his right hand, his left was empty, no one had come to show him around or anything along those lines, then again he hadn't expected anyone to.
He approached a group of three boys and a girl, he saw one of them who seemed to talk to the others with a bit more athourity, Darren took him as a leader of this little group. As he approached him he put on a nice smile and spoke.
"Hi, I'm new and I was wondering if you could direct me to my class."
He gestured with the schedule, the boy took the schedule from him, crumpled it up and tossed it away then told him a better place to direct that paper. He turned his back to Darren, and Darren pursed his lips in thought. He learned early in life that if you let someone push you around you ended up as someone's door mat, so you just had to teach them who was who.
Darren slugged him across the face, he fell back only to be caught by the two other boys. He smelled a fight brewing, it was a rather natural event on his first day.

Brooke had seen a fight beginning, so she immediately left her book lying on the ground, and ran over to help. She stood in between the two boys, and faced the stronger looking one. "Don't even think about it." She sneered in her scariest voice - which to her surprise sounded quite intimidating. She turned to the 'new guy' and grabbed him by the wrist. After dragging him over to a shadowed corner, and put her hands on her hips, and frowned. Some people are so daft! She thought to herself, amazed. She'd help this guy out, until he found his way around the school, and maybe a group of friends. Heck, he needed it. Clocking a guy one, when he should have known not to mess with the 'populars'.
Brooke gave him a half-concenred-half-angry look, raising her eyebrows. "And what," She snapped, not as angrily as before, "is your reason for doing that? By the looks of you - definitely - it's your first day. Who in their right mind would go around picking fights with people of their first day?" Exclaimed Brooke and an amazed tone. This guy really was stupid...
