While taking a music class is always optional, it is no doubt a very important class nonetheless! There are even more options here! So, read through these options, and once you have figured out which one (Or ones) you'll take, head on over to the sign-up thread and post there, to be added to the class roster!
Instrument Classes
These are classes that require you to have an instrument with you. If you have financial troubles and cannot affoard one, please let me know, and I will allow you to borrow one of mine or the school's. However, be noted on this - you may only take one[/i] of the following classes. But, you may of course switch if your instrument just isn't working out for you! Also an important item you might want to note, there will be three different bands featuring instruments - a jazz band focusing on trumpets, trombones, tubas, saxes (Bari, tenor, and alto), guitars, drums, piano and keyboards, a marching band/cold months (Late October through early April) regular band that includes all types of instruments except strings (When was the last time you saw a violinist marching in a marching band?), and an orchestra, that includes clarinets, flutes, some brass instruments, any strings discluding the guitars, and up to three precussionests. So, go ahead and choose! Make sure you've got the right one though!
Woodwinds: This is the instrument type is called what's it's called because traditionally, these instruments were made of wood, but they are now made of a different material, and you use wind to play them! Some popular instruments are here, including the flute, the clarinet, and the saxophone. Take your pick from any of these!

Percussion will play only the drum/percussion instrument that they choose during the Marching season. In regular season, they will rotate the instrument they play in songs.
Orchestra Instruments
Percussion will be manned up to three people. They will also rotate.
Jazz Instruments
Only one drummer, if possible, who can play a regular drum set.

Vocal Classes
These are the classes that require your voice, obviously! Whether it be choir, musical acting, or the show choir, you may of course enter here! You don't even have to be good at singing, because you can learn here still! And you can take these classes with an instrument class if you choose to, but you can't take two or three vocal classes. And don't be afraid to try these classes either, guys! Just think of how some famous lead singers got their careers. Maybe they took a choir class when they were your age. Who knows? Below are the options you can choose from.
Regular Choir: The choir that is, you guessed it, going to be standing on risers in your choir uniforms singing with a group. Pretty simple class, and like I said earlier, it can be taken with an Instrument class!
Show Choir: Are we ready to sing? Are we ready to dance? You better be if you're in the show choir. Think High School Musical, except you don't get paid and you don't get seen by millions of people across the country. This is the perfect class for any up and coming dancers who love to sing too.
Musical Acting: 3, 2, 1, action! That will be what you hear in this class when you practice musicals to perform in front of the other class. The perfect combination of acting, singing, and dancing! Who wouldn't want this class? You are required to audition for the coming school musical, though.
SO SIGN UP TODAY! You won't regret it!
