It was dangerous business, this patriotism stuff.
Kyle grinned to himself as he set up the last of the boxes of fireworks he had managed to get using his small amount of money. He'd managed to get most of the stuff open so that the rockets could go off up into the sky, explode in a bunch of bright colors, show patriotism for the country, then hightail it out of there before Headmistress Cranky Pants came charging after him to no doubt throw him in solitary confinement. He laughed. Exactly why his skateboard was lying on the ground a few yards away, ready to be hopped upon and ridden out of the courtyard.
He opened the final box of fireworks and pulled on the safety gloves that the man who had sold them to him had said to wear to prevent him from being set on fire. Kyle rolled his eyes at the thought - he was a risk-taker, so he'd pretty much love to do it without the gloves. But, setting himself alight didn't seem like a good way to celebrate America's birthday, so he just decided to follow the instructions. "Now, what else..." He muttered, trying to remember how to set the stuff into the sky. "Oh yeah, torch..." He picked up the torch, and pulled a lighter out of his pocket. There were trails of gunpowder leading up to the rockets, so he wouldn't have to get too close to them. He flicked on the lighter, let the flame go on the torch, then let the torch down onto the first trail.
The flame caught quickly as Kyle moved to the next one. It moved across the gunpowder towards the rockets and then - BAM. The four rockets connected to that trail flew straight up into the sky, and exploded into two huge circles of red, white, blue, and gold. He grinned and set fire to the next trail, moving along around the others as the celebration began.
[[Yerr, I know it's the fifth and not the fourth today. Shaddup]]

All the fireworks he'd ever need were right there. Watching from a safe distance. One wrong move and both of them could have been toast...Or what was left of toast after being cooked by rockets. When she saw an opening she moved a bit closer. "That's a nice display you have there." She called over the noise. Loud was no problem for her. Naturally. Bella had been watching him for only a short time but had already figured out his plan. Skate board was his get away car the pyrotechnics where his crime, and she was the Bonny to his Clyde.
Her gaze ran slowly over his body. He was gorgeous in her eyes. And the mischief she saw in his face made her smile. Damn it... was this love? Was she capable of that? Well of course she was. Everyone was. Well....maybe Little Izzy was falling for him better than she thought. For a second Miss Isabella McKensie felt a bit of nerves come to her gut as he worked over the explosives. This wasn't exactly the safest idea of celebration. But who was she to talk. She played with guns prior to coming to Crescent Hill. And she deffinatly knew what damage guns could do. A simple smile came to her face as she watched the fireworks go on up above.

He continued moving on down the line of fireworks, letting them all fly off into the sky and explode with a loud "BOOM!" as most fireworks do. He was glad the wind was carrying the ashes away from the spot in which he was setting them off at; that was a bit more preferrable to having ashes rain down on him. He set off two more rockets before deciding a break was over. He blew on the flame that was on the torch to put it out, and set the torch on the ground, looking around himself to see if he'd need to make his escape yet.
"Thanks," He said in response to whomever had asked the question. Quite obviously, he found her soon enough; it was hard not to miss her. He smiled at her and gestured for her to join him by the fireworks, staring up at the sky as the latest one faded away into nothingness. He thought he heard applause and cheers in the distance, but he wasn't exactly that sure.

Smiling she moved over to him. Pulling the grey sweater around her a little tighter she stood next to him and watched the fireworks fade. "Celebrating already and I haven't even told you." She blushed a little. This wasn't really something she was prepared to deal with. They'd just gotten there, just agreed on a relationship. But it wasn't like she could postpone it. Besides it wasn't happening for a good few months now so it wasn't like adult hood was right around the corner.
Her stomach turned and she rested her hand on her stomach. She would have killed to be in his arms right now. Comfort was something she desperatly needed at that moment. She honestly felt like throwing up. But she just wanted to see him. Just wanted a little romance with him. And what better way than share a moment with him under the illegally lit sky he'd so criminally supplied for them. It was perfect in her eyes. This was the sort of act that attracted her to him so much. He was a rebel. Not afraid of the law. Or that freaky headmistress bitch.
((I promise she's not knocked up.. I'm sorta making it look that way to freak him out at first and then she can give him the real news LOL))

"Told me what?" He asked, his tone light and joking. Slightly teasing as well, but that's usually what you got with Kyle. A sarcastic teaser. Well, to most people at least; the ever-disliked jocks and populars, the annoying preps, the thugs who thought they ran the school, etcetera. To Bella and the few other friends he had, and most of the other rebels, stand-outs, skaters, and all who strove to not be part of the same old, same old, he was light and joking. Sarcastic and teasing was saved for people he didn't like much; like headmistress ticket to detention.
His eyes glanced over at her, and he saw her hand on her stomach. Something rang in his mind, and a sudden bell went off; he could put two and two together and make four. He wasn't exactly the smartest kid in the world, but he wasn't the dumbest either. "Oh my god," He muttered, saying something he didn't usually say. "Please, please, please, don't tell me you're pregnant." His voice was low, soft, slightly afraid as well; he wasn't ready to be a father. He was 16, damn it! You couldn't be a good father at that age.
[[That work for you? ]]

Bella's eyes got wide. "Jesus Christ no!" She blinked a few times as she wrapped her head around that. "Kyle.. We haven't even stayed the night together yet...You've not asked me to. I'd gladly say yes, but..." she swallowed and looked at him a little appologetically. "I'm not a whore, Kyle. I swear to you I'm only with you.. I swear!!" Bella had extended her arms to him and took his hands in hers. She put them around her waist as she put her hands on his chest. This was the perfect place for her.
His arms were strong. Not too strong though like all he did was mess around lifting weights. Just strong enough. Like he could lift set equipment or herself without dying. Just strong enough to make her feel safe. She knew if he set his mind to it, he could take out a guy to defend her. Her typically hard face turned to a soft loving smile.
With a little kiss she smiled. "I'm all your's, babe..." Screw the explosives the two of them could make enough fireworks on their own. "The real news is that..." She ran her tongue along the back of her teeth for a second before looking him in the eyes. "I got accepted to the Boston Accadamy of Performing Arts." Pregnant? Ha! Not even. This was about the future. Her passion her career. "I've got a full scholorship for dance."
((haha yeah that worked. Now they can celebrate and be mushy LOL))

He sighed, relieved. "Thank God," He said. "Don't scare me like that!" He added, a laugh added to those words. He would never have been able to cope with the idea of being a father - yes, one day, he would love to have kids, but that day would be when he was in his late twenties or early thirties, not when he was flipping sixteen! He rubbed his eyes; apparently some ash had gotten into them. Well, that was what you expected to happen when you played around with fire. Admittedly, he hadn't been playing around with it, more like just using it in a safe manner, but...well, you get my point.
He squeezed Bella tightly back, glad to have her in his arms. She seemed so fragile to him, though he knew otherwise; knew very well otherwise what she was like. Yet when he had her arms wrapped around her, it felt like she needed his protection, would die without it. And if it came down to that, he'd gladly do it. He'd actually step in front of a bullet for her - well, not something that dramatic, more like tackle the dude trying to kill her and then punch his guts out - but he wouldn't let anyone hurt her.
He really did feel himself falling for her.
"The real news is that...I got accepted to the Boston Academy of Performing Arts. I've got a full scholarship for dance."
His eyes widened in shock. "Really?" He asked. "Wow, Bella, that's...that's great!" He grinned at her. "It really is. Wow. I can't believe it...well, I mean I can, but it's just so...ah, screw it. Congrats." He grinned, laughing, as he embraced her tightly again, pushing his lips to hers as he always loved to do.

She laughed at his reaction and when their lips crashed together she very very gladly returned the feeling. But even though she loved it so much, she knew they had to part. Without parting there could be no more kisses.. just that one. And she desperatly wanted a million and more kisses from him. When they did separate she smiled and kept their faces close. "I promise... no more scary stuff... I mean.. I'd love to have your kids but.." She laughed a little "Do you know how hard it is to find a maternaty leotard!!!"
Laughing more she hugged him close and gave him a few consecutive little kisses. He was so...UG!!!! Bella get a hold of your head!!! She felt like bursting at the seams. He had this funny way of elevating her temperature and she honsetly... Loved the crap out of it. Everything. Damn it, every little thing he did just made her love him more. His music, the way he skated, the way he....Safely handled the firework display before them. It made her feel so small so dainty.. so GIRLY! And even though that was substantially out of character for her, she adored every second of it.
There was something she did want to know. "What are the chances that Headmistress Vulture didn't see you're little celebration?" With a little grin she looked at the skate board. "I dunno, Handsome...You think your gleaming white stalleon can get us both out of the hot water if she comes looking for my favourite criminal?" She was teasing or course, but it was sweet and loving as she placed little kisses along his jaw.
