Family:
I have a mother, Kathleen she's now 65. My pop Shawn, he left when I was about twelve, he's dead to me as far as I'm concerned. I have a big family though. I have seven other siblings. I'm the oldest then in order it goes:Likes:
Kelley-23
Martha-21
Aiden-21 (They're twins)
Jacob-19
Brenna-17
Paul-15
Delia-12
After pop left I was man of the house. Delia had just been born so I felt like I was in charge of everyone. I love my family tremendously. I don't know what I'd do without them.
-I like a good pint at a good bar. I'm Irish after all! Dark Beer... what is light beer anyway? Other then gross...Dislikes:
-Blues, Jazz and Rock and Roll music. Any music after 1979 doesn't exist in my mind unless it's blues or jazz.
-Go Red Sox! I know I'm in the wrong city for that, but come on I'm a Boston boy! I have been known to wear my Sox cap about. It's been known to get me booed at.
-I have a coffee addiction I'll admit it.
-Smoking... it's another addiction
-Fast Cars! Though living in the city makes this difficult, I've been scraping up to buy a Nissan 300zx:
-Light BeerPersonality:
-The Yankees
-Flavored Coffee, why is that necessary?
-My Pop for being a coward
-Tennis... don't ask
-The crap kids call music now a-days. Quit your bitchen my daddy left too and you don't hear me writing a bad song about it!
-Smoking... I half want to quit half don't.
Well I grew up in the Irish neighborhood in South Boston. It wasn't the friendliest place so inside I'm tough, I can handle anything that's thrown at me. I have no problems standing up for what I believe in. Or people that mean something to me. Yeah I've been in a bar brawl or six but all in the name of defending friends.Appearance:
I'm loyal, my family is everything and when I meet the woman of my dreams she will be treated like a princess. As long as she can deal with my crazy family! So far I haven't met her...
I'm LOUD. With that many siblings you have to be, otherwise your lost in the crowd.
Yeah I've got the Boston accent. I say car funny. What's it to you?
Two words for you. Irish Temper. Don't make me use it...
Well here's a picure of me, getting ready to take a picture... haha.History:
I sometimes rock the goatee sometimes I'm clean shaven. It all depends on how I feel I suppose. I've got my moms good looks, I do. My mother is beautiful. Thankfully I didn't get pops side, otherwise I'd have flaming red hair. Like that's not a stereo type of an Irish person! My eyes are dark brown and it matches my hair, which is also dark brown. I've been told I have a great smile, I like it. I work out sometimes, I like to keep in shape so I got the gym... when I want to. Not religiously or anything. I'm tall, 6"4, I like being tall, people look up to you. Get it? haha.
I got one tattoo, after that my mother, she smacked me and told me no more. I'm not in a jail. Oh well that's ma for you. It sits in between my shoulder blades:
Like I said I grew up in an almost completely Irish neighborhood in South Boston. My mom and pop immigrated over when I was about 4. So no I don't have the accent, I wish though. They were wicked poor but they figured life in America would be better for us. Pop worked two jobs, somtimes a third just to keep us all fed. Mom when she wasn't cooking, cleaning and taking care of us, she sewed to make extra money.Experience:
It was tough, we were all crammed into a small apartment with no privacy. I guess that's why we're close now. Guess that's what drove pop to leave. By the time mom said she was pregnant again he'd had enough. Pop left like a theif in the night never to be seen again. The bastard didn't even shell out for child support. So I was twelve at the time. I couldn't legally work. So I did a paper route, mowed lawns, did house work for our neighbors. Anything to help. Kelley and the twins helped take care of the younger ones. Mom worked insane hours. But we got through it.
The second I was old enough to work, I did after school. Flipping burgers, working at the drugstore. Whatever I could find. I almost didn't leave for college cause I didn't want to leave mom but she insisted.
I managed to get a free ride at Boston College. I always loved History so I majored in it. Not really sure what I wanted to do with it, I just enjoyed it. But college was also liberating. For the first time ever I didn't have to change a diaper or work till midnight every night. So yeah I partied. A lot. And met a lot of girls cause I never had time to date in high school. I got a bit of a reputation haha. I Still pulled off a B+ average though, had to, to keep my free ride. My ma woulda killed me if I got kicked out.
I got accepted for the fast track Masters program and had my Masters in Teaching. Now I'm ready to teach!
I have a B.A in history and an M.A in teaching. My G.P.A was a 3.7 overall six years.Hopes/Goals:
I student taught during my masters program in some inner city schools.
I'm hard working, and will do what it takes to teach well.
I'm used to commanding a large group.
I hope to make enough money to send back to ma so she can finally own a home.
Do a good job at educating.
Meet Mrs. Right??
Quit smoking.... yeah right...
