I think back to the nights I looked into your bright green eyes and you said, lets run away
If it was quite possible, Blake Perry's heart would be somewhere behind her, floating into oblivion. All her thoughts had been circulating around just one guy's name, and it had been for what seemed like centuries.
Ethan.
This boy was her one reason to live and he was the one she left behind when she came to this damned academy. His shaggy blonde hair, cute features, awesome tan, and bright blue eyes had never ceased to amaze her and she still remembered these things perfectly as if she had been staring at him at that moment. She didn't know how she could ever forget. He had not saved her life once, but twice, and given her a heart to treasure forever.
Ethan Miller.
With each hearbeat, his name echoed in her head. The only other person she had told about these passionate and neverending feelings was her twin sister, Brooke, who gave her a pretty odd expression and carried on with whatever she was doing. Ethan's the only one who can understand... Blake thought silently, and a single tear welled up in her left eye. After a moment she wiped it away angrily. Why did her father have to do what he did? if it wasn't for him, she would've never had to leave the love of her life. If it wasn't for him, she and Brooke would still have a great relationship like most twins had. If it wasn't for him, her mother would still be alive.
Ethan John Miller.
Stifling a wail, Blake fell down into the grass of the courtyard with her back against a tree. The hood of her jacket fell back from the movement, letting the light drizzle in. She didn't bother to put it back up, though. Instead, she closed her eyes and tried to conceal the wave of emotions that all wanted to come pouring out of her at once. Her right hand closed around the charm of the necklace she had wrapped around her wrist, the one Ethan had given her on the night of their one year anniversary. She loved it, yet she hated it. It symbolized their relationship, but also showed how rich he was. Of course, all of Blake's friends told her she was only dating him for the money, but this time, it just wasn't true. He was everything she could ever ask for, and she had probably lost him forever. All because of her father.
By now, tears were rolling down her cheeks and she was glad it was raining. She had the courtyard to herself, to cry in peace, to drown in her own misery and not have anyone staring at her in confusion and pity. With the necklace still in hand, she rested her head on her knees and sobbed her heart out. Was it possible to die of heartbreak?

Conrad walked out of the school and sighed. He hated this so much. The damn headmistress had him working so much. He had to clean all the first floor of the school the last two days. He was tired and really just wanted to sleep but he couldn't. Why? Because of what Ryan had told him. He might of been a father but now he wasn't and as much as it hurt her it hurt him too.
Then he heard the crying and walked towards the tree. "Blake?" He asked and looked at her. "Blake are you ok?" HE asked her softly his hood covering his eyes and his guitar was on his back.

Frick, frick, frickedy, frick! The sound of footsteps could not be mistaken, and Blake buried her head into her knees more as if she could hide from the person who was coming toward her. She tried her best to wipe the tears on her jeans, but she knew it wouldn't help. Her makeup was probably smeared to hell and if she really wanted to, she could more than likely take on the appearance of Alice Cooper. She lifted her head a fraction of an inch to sneak a look at who was coming. Through her blurred vision, she saw the figure of Conrad Siberman coming toward her. With one last attempt to wipe the tears from her eyes, Blake slowly lifted her head up and rested her chin on her knees. She didn't care how upset she was; it would just be plain rude to hide from someone who was concerned about her.
"I wouldn't say I was okay." she replied, choosing her words carefully. "I would just say that dwelling on the past gets kind of depressing sometimes, that's all." With a sigh, she looked straight into Conrad's eyes. She knew she could trust him; they had been friends almost as soon as she had come to the Academy. She had been clinging to him, in need of a guy friend and a rescue from the chaos of every girl chasing her down, asking her fashion questions or making comments on her appearance. She sometimes wished she wasn't as beautiful as everyone thought she was.
Despite the constant knots that tore at her from the inside, Blake managed the smallest of smiles. "I'm fine, Con, really. Just, you know, having a moment." God, she was glad she could actually talk to someone. Every girl she tried to talk to flooded her with 'awww!' and 'you poor girl!'. Guys were different, though. They weren't as sensitive and they were easier to depend on...in her point of view. Maybe it was a good thing Conrad had randomly shown up. Maybe she actually needed to release the bottle of emotions that had grown inside her in the past years.

Conrad sat next to her and put his arm around her. He knew he could do this because he knew that Blake knew about Ryan. "Come on cry into my chest." He said to her softly. "Come on it is ok." He said to her and rocked her. "ti is ok I know you miss him." He said to her and just held her.
"it will be ok I promise you." He said and kissed her cheek. "remeber your best friend is always here for you." He sadi to her

As Blake laid her head on Conrad's shoulder, a last crying shudder went through her. Maybe it was comforting to know that someone was there for her and ready to listen to her problems no matter how long it took. She closed her eyes for a split second longer than a blink and then stared up at the rain. It had slowed a good bit and was even lighter than a drizzle, but the sun was nowhere to be seen. It matched her mood, however, so she was quite happy with this.
After a long while, Blake sat up and leaned on the trunk of the tree behind them. She hadn't said anything, not even a thank you, and yet Conrad had stayed there. "You have no idea how much this means to me." she told him, squeezing the necklace charm and wiping the last of her tears. She couldn't even remember the last time someone had been there for her and it was kind of sad. She then let her index finger trace the outline of a sticker she had randomly put on the top of her hand earlier that day. "Seriously, thanks a lot. But I'm okay now." Blake offered a smile to show her appreciation.

"Oh I know Blake I know." He said and sighed as he saw a guard following him. He sighed and shook his head. He hated this. How he had be followed around so that they knew what he was doing at all times. It annoyed the piss out of him. Rubbing her shoulder he smiled at her. "You know I will always be here for you." He said hoping she didn't notice the guy that was watching them.

Blake stared at the grass ahead of her and tried not to dwell on her past. It was sort of hard, but if she concentrated on something else, like how she would probably send a letter to her sister that night, it would bring a smile to her face. Brooke was the only family she had left except for cousins and a few others, and she felt as if she needed to carry a strong relationship with her. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a huge guy watching them closely and she scooted closer to Conrad. When she looked at him, she felt like he knew who that guy was, so she let her shoulders relax a little. There was probably nothing to worry about, but she had to ask. While lowering her voice to a whisper, she asked, "...do you know him?"

He looked at her and sighed. Pulling up his pant leg he pointed to his ankel braclet. "Yah he is my guard. I was in jail hun." He said and sighed. "That would be my guard that has to follow me around. I am still serving my sentence but Headmistress Andrews got me to come back. It was realyl nice of her even though sh eis a real bitch." He sadi and looked at her. "I can't even spend that much time with Ryan."

Blake's eyes slowly traveled from Conrad's face to his ankle, where he revealed a bracelet. He then explained about the guy who was watching them, who wasn't a creep, but Conrad's guard. A slight shudder went down her back, but she tried to keep it from being too noticeable. She nodded to show she had seen it and he could put his pants leg down, though the thought haunted her. They were very close as friends, and he hadn't told her about this. What had he done to get his own guard to follow him around? Was it really that bad that he couldn't hardly spend any time with Ryan? She grimaced at the thought and shook it out of her head. She had to ask - it was her privilege. "Wh-what did you do, Con?" She then wanted to correct herself for using his nickname - it sounded like 'convict', and she sighed to herself.

Cause my parents dind' thave any money and I was from the hood they brought it down hard on me." He said with a sigh. "Ryan was so fucking pissed with me." He said and shook his head.

Six hundred dollars of pot? Heavy on drugs? From the hood? Blake's mind froze from these words and she had to, yet again, shake her head to get rid of them. "Wow..." was all she could say. She knew Con was here for some reason, but she never noticed the change, like the ankle bracelet or the guards following his every single move. "I bet Ryan was pissed at you...no offense." She pulled her hoodie up so she could lay her head on the tree comfortably. She briefly closed her eyes again. "I'm so sorry all this happened, Con. It's horrible."

"She was pregent while I was in there and because of my stupidtiy she lost it. I was goin to be a father Blake! The one thing I always wanted to be and I fucking blew it!" He said and sighed. "I made such a mess of things!"
