setting;; poolside, left side time;; late afternoon, hour or so before dusk tags;; for the loverly asphodel What else did Seth have to do, other than spend his late afternoon, planted poolside, music scores scattered over the tiles beside him. He'd pulled his baggy jeans up over his knees, so that he could dangle his feet in the pool water. While other students, now free of their studies, ran amok throughout the school grounds, preparing to go parading through the city streets, Seth would still take sitting in the deserted pool area, trying to write his song. So very few of his sparse friends here and CHS were actually willing to stop and greet him, let alone try and figure out both lyrics and a tune to this. He had chosen the pool, mainly because he was practically addicted to the way his voice sounded in there, the acoustics were above and beyond.
He tapped the sheet music to a non-existent tune. "You're...You're..." he paused, searching for a word, any word. "Bloody hell!" He collapsed back against the icy tiles, groaning in exapseration.
Seth tried to think of someone, anyone who could spark inspiration. For some reason, his mind wandered to Kristy, and he cringed from the thought. Afterall, he wasn't trying to write a hate song, but...something else. And then, the image of Ash, her grinning face, penetrated his mind and he laughed aloud, his lips forming the words.
"You're the voice I hear inside my head..."
He was cut off by an incoherent sentence, the crimpling sound of him sitting up, paper crinkling and scrunching beneath his hands louder than the voice. But as he took in the form of the person, only one phrase rang in his head. Think of the devil and there he shall appear.

Asphodel sighed as she ran a hand threw her straight dark brown hair and ruffled her bands so they rested above her caramel brown eyes, she was getting frustrated. She was sitting in front of one of the full size pianos in the Music Room and she had music sheets scattered all around her. She was trying to finish a song but nothing was coming to her and she hated having writers block. Ruffling her hair she bit the end of her pen as she continued to cross stuff out, she grabbed what she had so far and set it up on the little stand thing and placed her fingers on the keys. They drifted over the black and white keys pressing down softly on the ones that she needed to press. "Ive always been the kind of girl That hid my face so afraid to tell the world what ive got to say but I have this dream bright inside of me...." She was just drawing blanks on continuing it and slammed her hands down on the keys.
Figuring it wouldn't hurt to take a break she took a deep breath shoving her stuff into her bag as she stood up. She slung her black messenger back over her shoulder as she walked out and checked her out fit in a reflection from a window. It was a simple blue shirt with black skinny jeans and brown boots, she thought it looked cute. Thoughts of Seth soon drifted into her head as she passed the different music rooms and it caused a small smile to slide across her shiny pink lips. Walking out side she glanced around wanting to find him. She couldn't see him any where so she figured she would check by the pool. walking in she heard singing and slowed her steps so she wouldn't disturb the person. She peeked around the corner and noticed Seth sitting there singing and her smile grew and a soft blush spread over her delicate pale cheeks.
Attempting to sneak closer to listen little miss graceful soon found her self slipping in water and hitting the ground with a small thud and a squeak. Her face burnt red as she stood up and dusted her self off. Talk about embarrassing. She set her back pack down and slipped off her shoes. Setting them on a chair she rolled up her pant legs and glanced down at the old bruises that had yet to go away from her abusive adopted father. Seth knew all about that so she didn't hide them around him. She walked up and sat down next to him and stuck her legs in the water. She nudged him with her shoulder a bit and glanced up at him. "What were you just singing? It was really good." His singing always amazed her and she could listen to him sing songs all day and all night. Something about his voice was just so soothing.

Seth let a wide crooked grin flash across his face as Ash, face red, dusted herself off. He himself had done that many times, so he wouldn't poke that much fun at her for it. He put his music scores to oneside as she seated herself beside him. His eyes grazed over the her bruised legs, but didn't take in anything. He'd known for a while know about Ash's adoptive father, but even if it did sent rage flickering through his system, he had to remain completely complacent for Ash's sake.
Feeling her nudge him, Seth looked down, intaking his next breath stiffly. Ash's eyes always mesmerised him, and he couldn't quite figure out why. "What were you just singing? It was really good." Her compliment made Seth grin, and he shrugged slightly, nodding to the dozens of papers lying about the tiles of the poolside.
"It's something I'm working on at the moment," he replied simply, swinging his legs slightly in the water. He drew his gaze across the rippling pool water. "One of those mushy love songs. This one's hard. I just really want to make it perfect. So I can sing it to that girl--" he looked down at Ash again, wrinkling his nose. "You know, 'the one'." He gave a small chuckle, before sighing thoughtfully. "Where ever she is out there, one day I hope I can sing it to her."
He exhaled loudly, sighing as he lay back against the ground, looking at Ash with a whole-hearted grin. "That is why it has to be perfect." Seth honestly enjoyed talking to Ash about these sorts of things, in fact, they talked to each other about almost everything, anything at all. If he told his other musician friends about that, they'd probably give him some teasing about it. But not Ash, he could count on her one hundred per cent. Knowing her, she'd probably lead him to the one. Seth had to stomach a feeling that questioned whether she was the one. But there was no way. She was Ash for Pete's sake! His own Asphodel. He couldn't risk their friendship, even if it did mean his future happiness.
Seth scratched his head, striking up another point. "So uh...What are you working on Ash? Anything special? Anything finished?" He paused, sitting up. He shifted so that he could murmur in her ear in a low voice, "Anything I can listen to?"

She looked at his smile and she couldn't help but giggle a little bit. Thats what he did to her, he made her all giggly and bubbly inside and she really liked that feeling. When he said he was working on a mushy love song she rolled her eyes and smirked sticking out her tongue a little bit. "Ew Mushy love song. Isnt that a little cookie cutter pop star for you?" She grinned after saying that knowing it was a lie. Everything he sang was amazing and nothing was ever horrible. Nothing about Seth could ever be horrible in her opinion. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear as she moved her legs in the water a little bit to mimic his. She was his best friend but she couldn't help and feel a lot more then friend ship for him. She wanted to tell him how she felt but knew it would make things awkward so she figured she would wait.
"Yeah yeah. Writing a song for 'the one' sounds like fun. But its kind of useless unless you find 'the one' don't you think? Might be easier to write the song if you know who your writing it about." She desperately wished that she could be 'the one' and wondered if that would ever happen. She had dreamed about it and even had done the whole writing his name in little hearts thing. It was a full blown teenage crush and in her opinion it was adorable. She just wanted to know if he felt the same way. She shook her head when he asked if she was working on anything special and she shrugged.
"Nothing really special...nothing for 'the one'. And its not finished...I keep getting stuck and I don't know why." She sighed a little bit as she ran a hand threw her hair. Hear She hated singing in front of people but knew she could trust him. Plus the sound was amazing in here. "I guess." She shrugged as she sat up straighter and rested her hand on her lap making sure she had perfect posture. "Do you know what its like to feel so in the dark to dream about a life where your the shining star. even though it seems like its to far away I have to believe in my self its the only way..." She stopped and her face burnt red with embarrassment again. "Its not done..and its not ver..very good." She stumbled a little with her words as she glanced at her hands.

Seth's grin broadened at her giggle. It practically sent shivers up his spine. Cookie cutter pop star. He had to admit. It was. He shrugged, and because he was so close, his arm bumped Ash's a little. "Eh. Maybe. But maybe by trying too hard to not be a--" he chuckled a little to himself, "Cookie cutter pop star, I'm really just setting myself up to be exactly that. And that would suck out loud."
"Ooh, Ash, that's deep," Seth laughed a little, eyes focused on their legs, moving in unison. "I guess you're right. But I reckon that she's there, and she'll fit the lyrics." He paused, considering a notion for a moment or so. Seth was almost notoriously superstitious at times, and so he shrugged again. "But maybe I've jinxed my chances with her...What if, huh?" He stopped swinging his legs, turning completely so that he was facing Ash. He grasped her hands gently in between his, and looked her straight in the eyes, trying to keep a straight face at the absurdity of the situation. "Asphodel Monroe, if my soul mate doesn't find me before we're..." he hesitated, pulling a random number from the universe. "Twenty-four, then...uh...Do you promise to take her place?" Seth paused, letting the moment run a moment longer. He pulled away, falling back against the tiles again, eyes closed. "Ah, you're my best friend Ash. If anyone's going to take the place of my soul mate, I wouldn't want anyone but you to." He sat up again, wrinkling his nose. "Is that too mushy? Too cookie cutter pop star?"
When she told him about her trouble with what she was working on, Seth pulled a face, nodding in understanding. "Oh I know stuck, I'm sitting at stuck in a deck chair." He gestured widely at all of the music scores surrounding them. Laughing a little to himself, he added, "I definitely want to detonate a nuke at stuck."
Ash's voice sounded ten times better than Seth's in the pool area. Her strong alto voice sounded as though it bounced off the walls to him. He couldn't help but close his eyes, let the dips and rises in her lyrics take him completely. When she cut off, his eyelids flickered open, noting the flush crossing her face. She was looking down at her hands. Seth reached across, gently grasping her jaw, even though it sent butterflies and shivers shooting through every nerve. It was strange how he was handling her these days, as though she were a porcelain doll that would crack if he were too rough. He raised her head. "It's sounds like you're doing just great to me. Better than great. Fantastic." He grinned. Seth loved everything Ash wrote. It was all so from the heart, so blatantly honest that he couldn't help but listen in awe.

She couldnt help but giggle again and clap her hands at what he said. She poked his nose lightly and grinned. "Aw but I think you would make an adorable cookie cutter pop star." She gave him a big goofy grin before dipping her hand into the water to get her fingers wet and she ran them threw her hair trying to cut down the frizz a bit. It was kind of humid out side and she didnt want her hair to get all poofy. When he said about jinxing his chances she shrugged a bit and glanced back down at the water. "If I had any advice I would give it to you...I sort of suck in the whole relationship department. After all...I am pretty sure the guy I like has 0 of the same feelings I do." If only she knew.
When he grabbed her hands she felt her heart skip a beat. She felt a little more nervous and her smile dropped a little bit as she looked into his eyes. She laughed at what he said and nodded laying back next to him with her arms behind her head. "Well if I dont find my soul mate by then, of course I will be yours...But hopefuly we wont have to wait that long to find our soul mates.." It would suck if they had to wait like 8 more years to find their soul mates. She all ready knew who hers was..she wondered who his was.
"Seth...I know this is going to sound weird but I wanna tell you something." She sat up and pulled her legs out of the water and ran her hands over them being careful of some of the bruises. "We tell each other everything so I feel like I have to tell you how I really feel..." She blushed even more then she had been before and she bit her lip. She was so nervous because she had never told a guy she liked him before. "I like you...I always have...Ever since the first day I saw you, I thought you were the sweetst most amazing guy I have ever talked to in my entire life and I have just been so scared to tell you cause I dont know how you feel..." She glanced at him as she waited for him to reply.

Seth laughed at her cookie cutter pop star remark. "Why thank you." He watched as she ran her fingers through her hair, smiling to himself. He'd always noticed how Ash's hair tended to frizz up a tad in humid weather. But it never made her look any less beautiful. He had a mental freeze. Had he just thought...? No. He couldn't have.
"Ah," Seth nodded. "We both being inexperienced, I guess we suck at supporting that subject." He froze, looking over at her. "Who's the lucky guy? Wait...No, don't worry. Knowing me, I'd give him a quick twenty questions the next time I see him." He gave a slight laugh. "Well, anyways, he's an idiot if he doesn't return your feelings." Any guy would be, he thought to himself.
"Hopefully..." Seth's voice faded a little. Her speaking up suddenly made him jolt. She pulled her legs out of the water, which made Seth cock an eyebrow. He sat up, pulling his legs out too, tucking them under him cross-legged. He listened intently as she spoke, jaw locking tightly the further she went with her words. It made him blush, the lighter layers of his conscious fizzing uncontrollably. But the deeper meaning soaked through, and he shook his head, bowed so he couldn't see her face, he could only shake his head.
They were best friends. They did tell each other everything. She felt this way, and he...he couldn't do it. He couldn't risk everything like that. It was irrational. He just couldn't.
When he couldn't keep the silence intact any longer, Seth raised his head a fraction, looking over at Ash guiltily. His voice shook, threatening to crack as he spoke. "Ash...I...You shouldn't...I..." he paused, unable to form sentences. "I'm sorry, but..." he lowered his head again, her eyes too much for him to handle. "I can't." His throat felt as though it were clogged, as though he couldn't breathe. "You deserve better...You deserve someone better than me, Ash. I...I can't. I need you to understand..." His head was throbbing, threatening to explode, to kill him by imploding.
He remembered what he'd said, just under a minute ago. "I'm such an idiot..." He knew what conclusion she would draw from that, but he was desperate; even if it might not be true... His hands formed fists, his mind unable to unjumble itself. "I just...can't."

She noticed him look away from her and she tilted her head to the side a bit but when he spoke she looked down at her hands that were shaking in her lap a little bit. She couldnt fight back the tears the trickled out of her caramel eyes and down her soft cheeks. Every word he spoke felt like some one had stabed a knife into her heart and start pressing and twisting. She was so stupid for telling him that she liked him. Why couldnt she just keep her emotions to her self and her stupid mouth shut. Now she wished that she never would have told him. She used the back of her hand to wipe her tears away and she stood up and slipped her shoes back on shaking her head as she attempted a smile. "Um yeah...I guess your right." She grabbed her bag quickly and slung it over her shoulder and turned to look at him not able to hold her tears back any more.
"I dont deserve better. Because you are perfect. you mean more to me then anything in the world. You are the first guy I have trusted in a really long time and Im sorry your to egotistical to see that." Her tears started falling quicker down her cheek as she looked at him and shook her head. "It was my fault to tell you how I felt. I was stupid Im sorry." She ran out of the pool room slipping a little as she ran out. Once she got out of the room she leaned against a wall and started crying harder as she tried to catch her breath. She felt more then stupid, she felt like her heart had been torn out of her chest and thrown into the pool.
She wanted to be some where that she felt comfortable so she ran to the music room and dropped her bag. She fell into the seat infront of the piano and took a deep breath trying to stop the tears. She took out her music sheets and wiped her cheeks off as she started playing. She couldnt belive that she had just been shot down on her first real crush. She thought that he liked her to but obviously all the signs she was reading were wrong. She was starting to wish that she hadent of came to Crescent Hill. Or at least she was wishing she hadent told Seth. She just screwed everything up between them. She started singing wondering if she could finish the song now. "I've always been the kind of girl That hid my face So afraid to tell the world What I've got to say But I had this dream Right inside of me I'm gonna let it show It's time to let you know To let you know
This is real, this is me I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be now Gonna let the light shine on me Now I've found who I am There's no way to hold it in No more hiding who I wanna be This is me
Do you know what it’s like To feel so in the dark To dream about a life Where you’re the shining star Even though it seems Like it’s too far away I have to believe in myself It’s the only way
This is real, this is me I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be now Gonna let the light shine on me Now I've found who I am There's no way to hold it in No more hiding who I wanna be This is me"

Seth's head snapped up. Was she...? He went to reach out, but stopped mid-way, hand falling helplessly. "Don't cry Ash." The words felt so stupid, about the equivalent of himself at that moment. As she got up, Seth looked after her desperately. His heart strings plucked one by one, a subconscious screaming reality at him. He did like Ash. He really did. He could even go as far as to say that he was absolutely and entirely in love with her. Her attempt at a smile made Seth falter. Her words stung, kicks to the gut that seemed to spread pain throughout his system. As she fled, Seth threw one hand out after her, the rest of his body frozen in shock, too paralysed to chase her.
And then she was gone.
Exhaling sharply, Seth groaned and fell back against the tiles, the new angles causing some sheets of paper to glide soundlessly into the water. He didn't reach out to get them, just let them float. Seth inhaled an unsteady breath, his mind unwillingly repeating her words to him, the remake not lacking the venom and pain that the original had contained. She had thought him to be perfect. Seth had meant more to her than anything in the world. He groaned. He was the first one to gain her trust in so long, what she had told him about her had proven that. He slammed his fists down on the tiles, only just containing the tears that were trying to escape him. I'm such an idiot.
It was as though he'd left a night-club, getting his hearing back and perceiving things much clearer. He loved Ash. He loved her more than anything in the world. He loved her more than life itself. He'd never been able to see her with anyone before, he'd never been able to accept any previous infatuation she'd had, even if it'd been nothing more than a joke, because he wanted to be with her. He'd never given hints as to who his perfect girl was, because she'd always been sitting right in front of him, listening eagerly. "Damnit!" Seth yelled, rolling over onto his stomach to scream, the muffled sound barely making it to the nearest wall.
He rolled over twice this time, his body lingering on the edge of the pool dizzily. Reaching out, he fished the floating pieces of music scores from the pool flattening them against the ground to avoid them from tearing. His eyes skimmed over loose thoughts, jumbled lyrics, and everything suddenly pieced.
Leaping to his feet, Seth snatched up a notebook, pulling the cap off a pen with his teeth. He ran, scribbling down the words at light speed. He began racing for the dorm room, but halted, already through the first verse. Where would she be? He wrote out the chorus a second time, leaving space for a second verse. Where would she expect me to find her? It dawned on him, and he began toward his destination, continuing to write. He skidded down the hall that branched off into all of the music rooms. The water coating the bottoms of his jeans helped him glided smoothly, and he looked through all the open doors, searching for the right room, for the right voice.
And then he heard it. The verse she'd sung to him earlier. Piano notes accompanied the heavenly tune, and he was drawn to it. The door had been left open, like the gaping wound he must've left in her. He stepped inside, mesmerised by the music, not sure if she'd seen him enter. He stopped just a few steps inside, still practically in the doorway. She held a note, the ending note. And he started, he couldn't stop, his lips just started moving.
"You're the voice I hear inside my head The reason that I'm singing I need to find you, I gotta find you You're the missing piece I need The song inside of me I need to find you, I gotta find you."
Seth hadn't noticed, but he'd been advancing into the room. He stepped closer and closer, just seeing her face made him grin like an absolute fool. He was almost in front of her now, and this was it, this was his last chance to win.
"Yeah..." He held the note, dropping down on his knees right in front of her. She was right there. He had to resist what his emotions, his newfound feelings and his teenage hormones wanted.
"You're the missing piece I need The song inside of me I need to find you I gotta find you."
His voice rang until he broke it off. There was a moment of pure silence, where the pure sparkle of her eyes almost completely and utterly engulfed him. His limbs were numb, and his mind had been completely erased. All there was, was Ash. Ash and him. Seth's hands acted before he could possibly gain any sense at all. They moved, reaching up for her, his body moved with them. He was fairly taller than her, so all he needed was to extend up, so he was only on one knee. His hands cupped her face delicately, and he swallowed hard. He couldn't screw this up. Not now. He moved one hand down her jaw line, this mere movement causing tingles to jitter through him. His fingers glided through her hair, to the back of her head, where he kept it still. He moved closer, biting on his lower lip, until his swallowed again. The gentle slowness of the entire act ceased completely once his face was closing in on one inch. Seth's lips came crashing down on hers, envloping her in one kiss to prove it once and for all. To reflect on every moment he'd questioned any romance. Every moment he'd shied away from the thought of liking her, of loving her. Every moment that he'd dreamt of doing this.

Asphodel was starting to think that she was never meant to be happy...that her life was just supposed to be one big black whole that only attracted all the bad things. First her parents, then her health, then her brother leaving her and getting adopted by an abusive father. She just wanted to be happy and sadly the 1 person that made her happy had just ripped her heart out probably with out even realizing it. She wished he knew what she was feeling but he was a guy and she didnt expect him to feel any of those emotions. She had just pourd her heart out and it got happily stepped on. Little did she know he was thinking about it to. If only she could read pathetic boy minds then things would be fine.
She was having a hard time thinking up what to write next, nothing was coming to her and she was starting to think that this was going to be one of those songs that you take and shove away and never finish. Maybe if she gave up on the song then she could write a new one but this song meant something to her. It was her, it was how she felt at that exact moment...infact it was how she always felt. The song was about not hideing who you are and embracing your true self. The song was about breaking out of your shell and not being shy, being comfortable with who you really were. She was starting to realize that this is who she was and she needed to like it or leave it and leave it wasent an option.
She heard the door open and some one walked in while she was singing but before she could stop and say something he started singing. She soon found her self merging her song with his, their voices blended together perfectly. Once they finished she was once again going to say something but found her self trapped in a kiss...she didnt mind much. The feel of his finger tips on her skin made it tingle and when he ran his hands threw her hair she shivered against his touch. She pulled away, her caramel eyes were big and her cheeks were red. She touched her lips softly then looked at him. "Im sorry..." She said about the stuff she had said earlier and she leaned foward wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging her self close to him. She remembered how his song said I need to find I gotta find you. She moved her lips to his ear and whispered. "I found you." She had found her soul mate...her 1 true love.

As she pulled away, Seth experienced a slight moment of failure. She didn't want me to do that. Why did I do that? His ochre gaze met with her big caramel eyes, and he knew that if time had stopped, if life itself had suddenly ceased to exist, he was quite comfortable knowing he'd done it. He longed to brush his fingertips over the crimson flush of her cheeks; all of these emotions and desires so alien to him, he was sailing in uncharted waters now.
"I'm sorry..."
Those few words were enough. He knew exactly what she was referring to, and he pursed his lips, about to respond. However, Ash made that a little difficult, wrapping him up in something that left him completely tongue-tied. Feeling her here, it made him want to jump for joy. Seth enclosed his arms, one around her waist, the other holding her upper torso close to him. The embrace was perfect, he could say they were built to fit together so flawlessly.
Her lips brushed against his ear as she spoke, sending shivers racing through his nerve system. "I found you." Seth held her closer, knowing that she couldn't have told him in a better way. She was here in his arms, his soul mate, the one he was meant to be with. Seth couldn't produce enough joy to prove that he loved her any more than he already had.
He shifted slightly, so that he could whisper in her ear. "It's about time."

Asphodel felt funny when he first kissed her. After all that was her first kiss and she was happy that it was with Seth. She felt her heart melt even more and she just wanted to fall into his arms and stay with him forever but she didnt know how to express that. The only way she was expressing that feeling was the fact that she was blushing like mad, her palms were all sweaty and hear heart was racing. She had never loved so this was all a brand new feeling to her and she was embracing it, and embracing him. She now knew that he liked her to, after all you dont just run in and pasionatly kiss some one you dont like...Right?
When they were in the hug Ash felt like she was in heaven. She fit so perfectly in ever curve of his body and its like his shoulder was made to hold her head cause it was so comfortable. She hugged her self closer to him, the small gap between them vanishiny. She knew who she loved now, she wanted to love him and only him. She didnt want to love any one else but him and she hoped that he felt the same way. "This is real this is me im exactly where Im supposed to be." She whisperd as she stayed in his arms. She was where she was supposed to be and she knew that.
She giggled softly when he said Its about time and she put her ears by his lip again. "Can I keep you?" She wanted to be his, as in boy friend girl friend. She wanted to be able to hold his hand, write songs with him and kiss him when they were together. They were perfect for each other, after all. How many times do you get 2 people that both cant finish a song, to run in and start singing and have their songs fit together perfectly? That was fate in her oppinion and she didnt want to mess that up. Seth was the first boy she had felt comfortable around in a long time and she knew he would protect her. She really did love him.

Seth could feel Ash's heart thudding in her chest, that was how close they were. He wanted just to stay with her, hold her forevermore, even to kiss her more passionately--if that was even possible--just to prove that to her. There had been previous considerations before this day of other girls, even that brat Vander in Sophomore year, but now, Seth knew that he couldn't love anyone else, not like this. He could never learn to want to protect another girl more than Ash. Never. And it wouldn't happen with anyone else. This was something that had been made up in the stars long before.
As she whispered her words to him, he couldn't suppress the tiny shiver that ran through him. In fact, they now held so much substance, he couldn't believe he hadn't missed all of it. All of the lyrics he'd written, that he'd taken from looking at Ash smile, at her laugh. It all was piecing together.
He sung the bridge through his lips, below a whisper, so that only she could hear the dance of the lyrics twirling past her ear. "Where you are is where I want to be; oh, next to you. And you next to me."
Ash's giggle made Seth smile. "Can I keep you?" It made him grin, and he was sure that she could feel that tiny twitch in the corner of his mouth against the curve of her ear. He thought about it momentarily; wondering why she had to ask. Maybe her thoughts mirrorred his; their hands intertwined, their songs interlinked, her lips against his. He had to suppress another shiver at the burst of desire.
He pulled back, cocking an eyebrow at her. There was a better way to answer, rather than a simple yes. He could probably kill two birds with one stone. Supplement this burning desire, eating away at his inside like crazy. Seth leant forward, planting a passionate, yet quick, kiss on Ash's lips. He pulled away reluctantly, having to force himself to flutter his eyelids open. He grinned at her, a sheet of cheekiness engulfing his attitude. "I guess so. If you're willing to do that again."

She felt those familiar shivers run threw her when he sang in her ear and she felt another fierce blush. It seemed like she was always blushing when ever she was around Seth but at least she had a reason to blush this time. How many girls can say they got to passionately kiss Seth Myles? One of the cutest and most sweet guys in the entire school? She hoped not many girls got to say that. In fact Seth was her first kiss, she wanted him to be her first boy friend to. It seemed like things were going that way to. She really really hoped that they were headed in the direction because Ash really did love him.
"Your singing is amazing Seth..." She didn't know exactly what to say because right now her heart and her brain were pretty much just all jumbled together and both agreed on love at the moment. There was something that was picking at the back of her mind but she just decided to ignore it until she was positive about what was going on. She had gone in for a regular check up and they drew her blood and everything and sent it out. They said they thought they saw something wrong with it so they took more and sent it to a bunch of different labs...Asphodel was starting to worry it would come back and if her cancer did come back she hoped that Seth wouldn't leave her because of it.
She couldn't help but giggle again when he spoke and she smirked a little bit. "So If I say yes then will you be my boy friend?" It felt weird for her to ask that question and she had a feeling that it was an awkward time to ask it, she just didn't have a cool way to ask it like they had been using before so she figured it wouldn't hurt to be a little blunt. "Well you know I guess I'm always willing to do that again." Her arms still loosely around his neck she leaned in her soft lips pushing against his again in a fiery passionate kiss, one that would make any one that saw it jealous. She wanted to make girls jealous because where she was right now was where she wanted to be for as long as it would last. It was perfect, they made the perfect couple to!

Ash's compliment triggered the time for Seth to blush. The scarlet flush crossed his cheeks, and he couldn't make much sense of anything. His mind hadn't adapted to thinking like this, as though he were under maintenance as his mind reprogrammed itself into thinking of only Asphodel all the time. He couldn't think of anything that would make him reconsider being with her.
"So if I say yes, then will you be my boyfriend?"
Seth didn't care that it wasn't sexy, and it wasn't smooth. It was blatantly honest, and at the present moment, he could only wish it would continue this way until everything was settled into place. The motion was so casual, and yet, so passionate. It almost made his knees buckle, and it was clear that the only girl who could, and would, be able to ever do it was Ash. Their match was perfect, and it almost caused Seth pain to pull away, the grin tugging at the corner of his mouth making impossible to continue.
"Then I suppose, you have me all to yourself."
