14 year old Kaylin York ran down the hallways. Her shoulder-length brown hair was in her face, but Kaylin could care less. It was afterschool on her first day at CHA., and so far,it was OK,except Kaylin didn't meet anyone. She reached the student lounge and stepped inside. Inside the room,Kaylin saw no one in the room. A TV was on,not very loud though. She ignored this and sat down in a comfy arm chair and set her backpack on the floor beside her. Kaylin dug out a thick, black notebook and pen. Her homework was all done,so she had the rest of the day to do whatever. Even though she was goth and was recovering from severe depression, Kaylin was a nice person. Kaylin started to write...not paying attention if anyone came into the room.

Brooke stumbled in the room, attempting to recover from her previous fit of laughter. She had been with her suual pack of friends, making their stupid jokes. Sure, they weren't funny, but at least they made her laugh. She didn't notice the other girl in the room, until she was sitting at the table, all her homework layed in front of her. She didn't have much to do - she had a schedule of what homework she did on what afternoons. She wasn't sure if it was creeping up on ehr or not - she hoped not. Her schedule had always worked, ever since she started here.
"Hi," Brooke said, smiling welcomingly, "I'm Brooke Marklew." She didn't bother to stand up, and walk across the whole room just to shake hands. Besides, the girl looked rather sad, and not in the mood to be formal. Brooke wondered if she could cheer the goth up - she could normally make anyone laugh. Excpet boring mediocre, beige, plain people who didn't understand anything she said.

Kaylin put down her notebook and looked at the girl. She seemed nice. Kaylin was a little nervous meeting new people. "Hi, Brooke," Kaylin said. "I'm Kaylin York," she said. Kaylin stayed where she was. "Are you new here?," Kaylin asked, trying to start a conversation. Her hands started to fidget, an odd quirk of hers when talking to someone.

It wasn't too long before Mylie found herself wandering into the place. there was virtually nothing to do, maybe just hang out, but the problem is there was no one to hang out with at this time of day. Thank God she spotted someone and it was a bit too convenient for her to do so.
"Am I interrupting something?" she asked, although her real purpose was to be noticed by the two.
